DHAKA: A delegation comprising some of the country’s most prominent business leaders met BNP Acting Chairman Tarique Rahman at the party’s Gulshan Chairperson’s Office on Sunday evening.
The meeting, held around 7:00pm, brought together current and former leaders of leading business chambers, trade associations, and major corporate groups, according to a press release.
Among those present were former FBCCI president Mir Nasir Hossain; Bangladesh Chamber of Industries (BCI) President Anwar-ul Alam Chowdhury; BKMEA President Mohammad Hatem; former BTMA president Matin Chowdhury; MCCCI President Kamran T Rahman; BSMA President Moinul Islam Swapan; BAB President Abdul Hai Sarkar; and ICC Bangladesh Executive Member and Transcom Group CEO Simin Rahman.

The meeting was also attended by former BGMEA president Kutubuddin Ahmed; Bangladesh Employers’ Federation President Fazli Shamim Ehsan; former MCCCI president Nahid Kabir; former DCCI president Hossain Khaled; and United Commercial Bank PLC Chairman Sharif Zahir.
BNP Standing Committee member Amir Khasru Mahmud Chowdhury was also present during the discussion.
