Tarique Rahman’s Nomination Upheld for Bogura-6

BNP Acting Chairman and Jamaat candidate both clear nomination scrutiny in Bogura-6.

BOGURA: The nomination paper of BNP Acting Chairman Tarique Rahman has been declared valid for the Bogura-6 (Sadar) constituency in the 13th National Parliamentary Election.

The decision was announced on Saturday, January 3, at around 10:20am after scrutiny by Bogura Deputy Commissioner and District Returning Officer Md Toufiqul Rahman. He said no irregularities were found during the verification process.

Earlier, on Monday, December 29, Tarique Rahman’s nomination paper was submitted to the Bogura District Returning Officer at around 2:20pm. The paper was submitted by Bogura district BNP President Rezaul Karim Badsha, who is also the election coordinator for the Bogura-6 seat.

Meanwhile, the nomination paper of Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami candidate Abidur Rahman Sohel has also been declared valid. He will contest the election from the same Bogura-6 (Sadar) constituency.
