The 6th meeting of the Finance Committee of Rangamati Science and Technology University (RaSTU) was held today, June 24, 2025, at 10:30 AM at the meeting room of the university’s Liberation War Corner.

The meeting was chaired by the Honorable Vice-Chancellor of the University, Professor Dr. Md. Atiar Rahman.

Dr. Morsheda Akhter, Joint Secretary (Budget Division) of the Secondary and Higher Education Division, Ministry of Education, and a member of the RaSTU Finance Committee, along with Mr. Muhammad Saidul Islam, Managing Director of RISTEC Private Limited and a member of the Finance Committee, joined the meeting virtually via the Zoom platform.

Additionally, Mr. Suchona Akhter, Dean and Associate Professor of the Faculty of Business Studies, Mr. Tinkel Khisha, Assistant Registrar of the Finance and Accounts Office, and Mr. Raskin Chakma, Assistant Director, were present.

Officials from various departments of the university and staff from the Accounts Office also attended the meeting.

During the meeting, the revised budget of BDT 154.7 million for the fiscal year 2024-2025 and the proposed original budget of BDT 170.8 million for the fiscal year 2025-2026 were discussed in detail. The budget allocations across various sectors of the university were also thoroughly reviewed.
